WORK HISTORY

Operations Manager of Saint Laurent San Francisco:

Learned how a true luxury house operates.  Contributed to improving the back of house organization of product.

Designer of Outerwear, including Faux Fur, Raincoats, Real and Faux Leather and Suede, Puffer Coats.  Worked within the QVC system and learned how live selling actually works.  Was able to produce items that sold thousands of units in hours.  Exposure to New York socialites and lifestyle.

Designer of Sportswear:  Mens/Womens/Boys:

Knit and Woven Tops, Bottoms, Golf.  Adapted skills to mass corporate design.  Exposure to the process of developing collections through committee.

Assistant Designer:  Mens and Women's Collection

Opportunity found while in design school, Jeff Simpson was a designer from Los Angeles by way of NYC who truly introduced me to the world of "avant garde" fashion.  One of the most influential people I have ever encountered.  RIP.

Fabric Associate:  Still one of the best fabric stores in Northern California.  They have everything you need for a project. Worked with an awesome group of sewers and customers who elevated my craft and interest in fabrics and sewing.  Amazing fabric and tool selection.  LACIS, the lace store, is 10 minutes down the street, like a shop with a museum attached.

Fabric Associate:  Now JOANNE'S Fabrics, this was my first official W-2 job.  Began my interests in crafts and fabrics.
